My favourite food in India is the famous Thali. Especially Fish Thali. It’s a typically south Indian dish and in some parts of India it’s served on a banana leaf. Thali includes different kinds of curries, rice, dal, sometimes curd, puris or bread. The big white bread seen in the second last picture is papadam. It’s like a cracker but tastes incomparable. Whereever you go the Thali tastes differently depending on the local food. The best I had so far was the fish thali near by the ocean. I started to compare all the ones I had and the best I had so far is seen on the picture taken in Munnar (Kerala, India).
Munnar is a hillstation located 126km inland from Cochin (Capital of Kerala). But don’t think you can drive 126km in an hour like you can on our roads back home. It took us four hours to get there. But it was worth it. Fields and fields, and hills and tea. A lot of tea. The Indians love tea (chai), like the Britains. The plantages reach over kilometers and kilometers.
